Man arrested after property crash

A man who crashed into a property in Cornwall was prevented from driving off by neighbours who blocked the road.

The accident happened at about 2100 BST on Saturday in Peppers Park Road, Liskeard.

The Volkswagen Golf damaged the porch and gas meter of the property, but engineers said there was no gas leak.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody after being unable to provide officers with a breath test. He has been released on bail.
