The wife of a man who was attacked in his own driveway in a Cornish village has made an appeal for witnesses.
The 57-year-old victim was assaulted by two masked men carrying lenghts of wood in Cusgarne, near Truro, on Saturday at about 0900 BST.
He sustained a broken leg and arm injuries in the attack and is still recovering in hospital.
His wife, who does not want to be identified, believes someone must have seen something which could help police.
"There must be so many people who take their dogs out or go horse riding or a cycle ride," she told BBC News.
Dark clothing
"Someone must have seen somthing a little different to normal - perhaps two men in a fast car."
"If they have, please, please tell the police."
Both men were said to be wearing dark clothing.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers.
This includes any sightings of vehicles or people acting suspiciously in the area, in the days leading up to the attack.
