Call for a new city soup kitchen
A Truro councillor wants her fellow politicians to help the city's Homeless Action Group continue providing hot meals for people who are homeless.
The charity has been told it cannot continue to use the Salvation Army church and kitchen beyond May after a review of its facilities.
Charlotte MacKenzie is urging councillors to help what she calls "this vital voluntary service".
She hopes they may be able to help identify alternative premises.
She says they need somewhere fairly central with a kitchen and large dining area which is available before 0900 and for Sunday lunch.
