Man charged with murdering baby

A man has been charged with the murder of a one-month-old baby in Cornwall.

Rilee James Saunders was found in a critical condition in a flat in Torpoint on 3 March. He died at Bristol Children's Hospital four days later.

The 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody at Launceston police station and is due to appear at Truro Magistrates' Court later.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a woman who was arrested on Thursday had been released without charge.

The results of Rilee Saunders' post-mortem examination are not known. The baby had suffered a head injury.
