Four fires being treated as arson

Police in Cornwall are investigating four cases of suspected arson.

At the Ashville Hotel in Newquay, three fire engines attended a rubbish fire that spread to the hotel building, which was left heavily smoke-logged.

At Spit Beach, Par, firefighters from Fowey were called to extinguish about 10 square metres of gorse that was alight.

And crews wearing breathing apparatus had to tackle fires involving two cars, in Bodmin and Truro.
