Guilty plea to Navy biker crash

A van driver from north Cornwall has admitted dangerous driving after a crash which killed a motorcyclist serving in the Royal Navy.

Lt David Croft, 30, of Plymouth died in the crash on a road between Bude and Launceston in June 2006.

Adrian Burton, of North Petherton, admitted failing to stop and report an accident, driving without insurance and being above the legal alcohol limit.

The 23-year-old was bailed by Truro Crown Court to await sentencing.

He was bailed while a probation report is prepared and is due to be sentenced in May.
