A man from Cornwall who was missing after the Asian earthquake has been found safe and well.
Ian and Ute Hendry who live near Bodmin, received a telephone call on Tuesday morning to say that their son Kai was alive.
He had been on the Andaman Islands - a remote archipelago which was near the epicentre of the earthquake.
The 26-year-old was spending a year backpacking after finishing a masters degree in computer science.
His family had last heard from him when he left Madras in India to travel by boat to the Andaman Islands on 19 December.
