Salvagers of the sunken French trawler Bugaled Breizh hope to lift her from the seabed off Cornwall on Tuesday.
Five fishermen on the Bugaled Breizh died when it sank in January.
French authorities believe it may have been rammed and hope raising the vessel will reveal vital clues.
If the ship remains afloat after being raised, she will be towed directly to the French port of Brest. Otherwise she will be attached to a floating barge and towed.
Salvagers attempted to lift the boat on Friday, but bad weather forced them to postpone the attempt.
It was initially thought bad weather was to blame when the fishing boat went down about 19 miles off the Lizard on 15 January.
But a French prosecutor claims photographs taken of the vessel on the seabed suggest it may have been involved in a "violent" collision with a container ship.
