Pub gang stamped on victim's head

A man suffered serious injuries when he was kicked and stamped on in a Cambridgeshire pub.

Police said four men men in the Cricketers in Melbourne Place, Cambridge, carried out the "vicious" attack at 1845 BST on Saturday.

The 53-year-old man was taken to hospital and later discharged.

A woman who was with the men but not involved in the attack is being sought by police. The group was last seen walking towards the Grafton Centre.

The woman is described as about 35, with long dark brown hair and a distinctive tanned complexion. She was wearing a yellow top and black trousers.

The men were all white and aged between 35 and 45, police said.
