Third man charged over jail death

A third man has been charged in connection with the death of an inmate at Peterborough Prison last year.

Brian Haynes, 33, was found dead in his cell on 11 September. He is thought to have been assaulted.

Gary Stretch, 42, already in custody, has been charged with manslaughter. He is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on 29 January.

Two other men are facing manslaughter charges in connection with the death and a further five are on police bail.

Shane Farrington, 25, and Paul Dennis Jefford, 23, are the men charged with manslaughter.

Mr Jefford is also due to appear before magistrates in Peterborough on 29 January.
