Man found dead in flat after fire

A man was found dead after a flat fire in Cambridge early in the morning.

Neighbours in Langdale Close, Cherry Hinton, called the fire and rescue service after hearing the man's smoke alarm sound.

Two crews went into at about 0100 BST and found the lifeless body of the man in a front bedroom.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said a post-mortem examination was to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Fire investigators are also looking into the cause of the blaze.
