Body discovered at side of road

A body has been found at the side of a road in Cambridgeshire.

The discovery was made in bushes at a layby on the A47 near Wisbech, a mile from the Guyhirn roundabout on Wednesday afternoon.

The scene was cordoned off by police officers who were alerted at about 1515 BST, a police spokeswoman said.

It is not known how long the body had been there and a post-mortem examination failed to establish the cause of death.

Police are continuing their inquiries in and around the site of the discovery, in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
