Three dead in two-vehicle crash

Three men have been killed and two others seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Cambridgeshire.

The accident, on the A141 at Chatteris, involved a lorry and a Toyota with seven people inside and happened shortly before 1900 BST on Thursday.

The three dead were in the Toyota along with the two other men, aged 38 and 17, who were seriously hurt.

Two others suffered minor injuries in the crash. The road reopened just before 0300 BST on Friday.

The lorry driver, a 58-year-old man from Essex, was slightly hurt.

The two seriously injured men, both from Wisbech, were taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The incident is the second triple fatal car crash in Cambridgeshire in a week.

On Saturday, a father and his two sons were killed in a collision in Linton that left five others seriously injured.
