Fire crews fight chemical blaze

Fire crews from across Cambridgeshire are fighting a blaze involving dozens of drums of powdered chemicals.

Emergency services were called early on Friday morning to the fire in Welding Allows in The Way, Fowlmere.

About 40 50-gallon storage drums are on fire, but it is not yet known what chemicals they contain.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews would remain on site for some time while the blaze was brought under control.
