Archbishop visits city cathedral

The Archbishop of Canterbury has delivered an address and taken part in a question and answer session at Bristol Cathedral.

Rowan Williams spoke of how important he believes it is for different parts of the Anglican Church to listen to each other.

Speaking about Afghanistan afterwards, Dr Williams said we were not used to large numbers of people being killed.

"Many people we know are involved. I think that is making a big difference."

"It is as if the whole country are involved with this and everyone shares that concern," Dr Williams said.

"A lot of people are still not clear what we are trying to achieve in Afghanistan - and that's the big task now."
