First children's Parliament held

Up to 100 children from Bath and North East Somerset have been given a taste of democracy - at a Parliament for primary schools.

It is the first time the county has held the debating event, where youngsters tell councillors how to make life better for children.

Pupils from 46 primary, infants and junior schools gathered to propose, debate and vote.

Councillors vowed to heed their ideas, at the event in Bath Spa University.
