New development damaged by fire

A new three-storey development in Kingswood near Bristol has been badly damaged by fire.

Avon Fire Service crews were called to Orchard Vale in the early hours of Tuesday and found the building's timber frame well alight.

It is believed the building was being developed into sheltered housing.

Crews also worked to protect neighbouring buildings and cars. An investigation into the cause of the fire is being carried out.
