Man in court over body in house

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman's body was found at a house near Bristol.

Paul Ford, aged 50 and from the Kingswood area, was remanded in custody to appear at the city's crown court on Friday 12 September.

The body of the woman, in her 40s, was found at an address in the Oldland Common area at 2030 BST on Wednesday, a police spokesman said.

Mr Ford was arrested at a house nearby on the same day.
