Police examine the scene

Two men who blew up a red telephone box with an industrial firework have been jailed in Bristol.

The explosion in Cadbury Heath, near Bristol, completely destroyed the phone box and scattered debris over a 100-metre radius.

Luke Edgecombe, 21, from Lockleaze was jailed for four years. Ryan Taylor, 19, of Cadbury Heath, was given an 18-month term in a young offenders institution.

No-one was injured in the explosion but nearby houses were evacuated by police.
