Man held after firearm incident

A man has been arrested after a teenager was threatened with what is believed to be a firearm in a recreation ground.

Police said a 30-year-old man is being held on suspicion of robbery and possessing a firearm following the incident in Long Ashton on Sunday.

A man allegedly approached youths and threatened the teenager with a firearm, demanding a cigarette.

Members of the public are believed to have helped detain the suspect.
