Topping out ritual at £20m hall

A topping out ceremony is set to take place at Colston Hall in Bristol as part of a £20m refurbishment project.

The ritual on Monday marks the construction of the highest part of the redevelopment, which builders are on schedule to handover next spring.

The refurbishment is funded by Bristol City Council and Arts Council England.

The hall will offer meeting rooms, rehearsal and recording studios, education and workshop areas, two cafe bars and a conference suite.
