Residents return home after fire

People who were forced to leave their homes when a scrapyard fire broke out near the Glastonbury Festival have been allowed to return home.

The A37 remains closed and wont open until late Saturday morning at the earliest.

Mendip District Council set up a rest centre in Pylle village hall to provide shelter and refreshments for residents.

The fire broke out a mile from the festival site and two people were taken to hospital with minor burns.
