Man charged after street attacks

A 31-year-old man has been charged after several women were attacked and robbed in the St Pauls area of Bristol, police in the city have said.

Officers were called to Ashley Road on Wednesday morning after reports of a man attacking and trying to rob lone women as they walked past.

Carl Jones, of Bristol, has been charged with robbery and is due to appear before magistrates later.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
