Praise for city call back system

A new call back system for people ringing Bristol City Council has been praised by its users.

The free system gives the caller the choice to wait on the line in a queue or be called back.

Those who opt to be phoned back by a customer service advisor can choose to be called back on another day or at a time convenient for them.

The facility deals with enquiries about a range of services including housing, council tax benefits and recycling.

Mrs Elvins of Bedminster Down contacted the service centre with an enquiry about refuse and recycling. She said: "The system was easy to use and I was called back very quickly."

Ms Burrows of Eastville called the service centre to order a black box for her recycling. "The call back system was really easy to use and I would use it again," she said.
