A £28m investment to transform a disadvantaged area of Bristol is due to be rubber-stamped this week.
Funding partners for the Hengrove Park development include the city council, South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) and the government.
The scheme includes new road accesses, services, landscaping, open spaces and parking facilities.
Subject to planning permission, an NHS community hospital, leisure centre and skills academy will also be built.
Council leader Helen Holland said: "The Hengrove Park development will deliver a wide range of new opportunities and facilities for the people of South Bristol, helping to tackle deprivation and disadvantage and ensuring even more residents share in the success of our city's powerful economy.
"I believe it will transform south Bristol into one of the most sought after places to live, work, invest and play in the south west and deliver significant economic benefits for the West of England and the south west region as a whole."
