Go-ahead for a £6m school revamp
An oversubscribed primary school in Bristol is to be expanded and redeveloped.
The city council has given the go-ahead for Sefton Park Infant and Junior Schools to be redeveloped on their current site at a cost of about £6.7m.
This will provide some 210 new places and is expected to ease some of the pressures on primary school provision in the Bishopston area.
Extra classroom space, better road access and car parking are all planned.
Councillor Derek Pickup said: "We have held talks with the heads and governing bodies of the schools and they are very supportive of these proposals."
