'Drugs house' is closed by order

Police in South Gloucestershire have been granted permission to close a house which they say was at the centre of drug dealing in the community.

North Avon Magistrates' Court granted the order after hearing that 9, Great Leaze, Cadbury Heath, was the focus of drugs, nuisance and disorder.

Police officers and Merlin Housing Society will now visit the address and ask the current tenant to leave.

The property would then be sealed, a council spokesman said.
