Man hurt falling from moving taxi

A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after falling from a moving taxi in Bristol.

The accident happened in the early hours of Friday in Frenchay Park Road in Broomhill.

Police are trying to trace the driver of the cab - believed to be a people carrier with a sliding door - who did not stop at the scene.

Frenchay Park Road, at the junction of Broomhill and Duchess Way, was closed while investigations were carried out.
