Residents out on beat with police

Residents in the Bradford and Airedale areas are to go out on the beat with police officers in an initiative to strengthen community relations.

Members of the public are being invited to join the patrols and see the work officers do.

West Yorkshire Police said residents would be asked for feedback as part of the Police and Communities Together (Pact) initiative.

A spokeswoman said the scheme was the first of its kind in the force area.
