A man remains seriously ill after he was hit by a fire engine responding to a 999 call in West Yorkshire.
The 37-year-old and two women were hit by the vehicle on Lockwood Road, Huddersfield, at 1649 GMT on Saturday.
The fire engine was responding to an emergency call to a house fire in which people were trapped.
Police said the injured man remained seriously ill in Leeds General Infirmary. The women, aged 21 and 51, suffered less serious injuries.
They have since been discharged from Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
'Deeply shaken'
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had started an internal investigation into the incident.
In a statement, deputy chief fire officer Steve Beckley, said: "Our first concern is the recovery of the three casualties and the well being of their families.
"Whilst our fire appliance drivers are trained to a high standard to minimise risk to other road users when responding to emergencies, regrettably accidents can still happen.
"The members of the fire crew who were involved did everything possible to assist and give first aid to the casualties at the scene.
"They are all deeply shaken by what has happened and are receiving our support."
