Motorists warned of M62 roadworks

Motorists have been warned they could face delays as improvement work on a stretch of the M62 gets under way.

The Highways Agency is improving safety fencing and resurfacing the carriageway between junction 22 at Rishworth Moor and junction 24 at Ainley Top.

There will be lane and hard shoulder closures during the work, which is due to be completed at the end of February.

Drivers have been told to expect "moderate" delays and advised to allow extra time for their journeys.

Project manager Steven Wright said: "The work will provide safer journeys for travellers along this stretch of the M62."
