Three people have died in two separate fires in Bradford.
A man and a woman were killed in a fire at a property in Cecil Avenue near Horton Park in Great Horton at about 0600 GMT on Thursday.
The fire service said the property was a three-storey house which had been converted into flats. The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
On Wednesday night, a 75-year-old woman died in a flat fire in Moorside Road in the Eccleshill area of the city.
Fire officers said they believed the fire was accidental and caused by smoking materials.
Geoff Crossley, from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, offered his condolences to the families of those who had died.
He said: "This has been a very tragic night for Bradford.
"These incidents are a stark reminder to everyone that fire safety is extremely important in all homes and that it should be given the priority it deserves.
"People should ensure they have working smoke alarms and that, in the event of a fire, everyone has an escape route."
