Two badly beaten in city fracas

Two men suffered serious injuries when they were badly beaten in a targeted street attack.

West Yorkshire Police said the pair were attacked by a group of Asian men on Leeds Old Road in the Thornbury area of Bradford on Tuesday afternoon.

One of the victims has been detained in hospital, while the other was discharged after treatment.

Det Insp Noel Devine appealed for information and said: "It appears this was not a random attack."
