Fuel protest driver facing court

Lorries taking part in the fuel protest

An organiser of a fuel protest convoy which snaked its way along one of England's busiest stretches of motorways is facing prosecution.

Rob Sweeting, a lorry driver from west Yorkshire, said he had been served with a "notice of intended prosecution" following the protest.

About 170 lorry drivers joined the protest along the M62 motorway between Leeds and Bradford on 18 June.

Mr Sweeting said he intended to challenge the allegations in court.
