Five remanded over park killing

Four boys and a man have appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager whose body was found in a West Yorkshire park.

Amar Aslam, who was 17, suffered fatal head injuries in an attack in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury on 25 May.

Amin Hussain Ali, 20, from Dewsbury, a boy aged 16 and three boys aged 15 are accused of killing him.

The five defendants were remanded in custody until 15 August. Their trial is expected to take place in September.

All five also face charges of robbing Amar of £10, a silver chain and a mobile phone.

Mr Ali was remanded into Doncaster Prison, while the four youths are being held at Wetherby male juvenile centre.

Their trial is expected to last four to five weeks. There were no applications for bail.
