Detectives investigating the murder of a young Bradford mother have renewed an appeal for information on the seventh anniversary of the day she vanished.
Becky Hall, 19, went missing from her home at Lydford House, off Elizabeth Street in the Little Horton area of the city, on 13 April 2001.
Her body was found two weeks later in an alley off Thornton Street. She died of head injuries after a brutal attack.
Miss Hall, who worked as a prostitute, left a four-month-old son, Jordan.
Ch Supt Max McLean, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "It is a regret of mine that this is the only undetected murder that I have led on.
"But I would warn the person who has so far evaded us that this case is very much still open and the hunt for Becky's murderer goes on.
" I would like to remind people that Becky was a 19-year-old mother of a four-month-old baby boy - her killer must be caught"
"I am appealing to people to think back to that day seven years ago - it was Good Friday so a day that would stand out for many people.
"If you have any information, however insignificant, you think it may be, please get in touch with us, it might be the vital clue we need."
He said police have had very little information from the public, probably because Miss Hall was a prostitute.
"But I would like to remind people that Becky was a 19-year-old mother of a four-month-old baby boy - her killer must be caught," he said.
"I am in regular contact with Becky's mum, who took in Becky's son following her death.
"He is seven now and doing well, but still doesn't fully understand what happened to his mum.
"Becky's family all miss her terribly and want to know what happened and to see somebody charged with her murder.
"I want to be able to tell them that the person who left them without a daughter, sister and mother has been caught."
