Scooter girl badly hurt in crash

A four-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was hit by a car as she crossed a road on a scooter.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident in Sandholme Drive in the Thorpe Edge area of the city on Friday evening.

The girl was struck by a red Fiat Punto after entering the road from behind a parked car, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said.

She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
