Cylinder fire prompts evacuation
Homes have been evacuated and rail services were disrupted after firefighters found a gas cylinder in a blazing shed in West Yorkshire.
Fire crews were called to the shed, near Railway Cottages, South Elmsall, near Pontefract, at 0445 BST.
A 100-yard (91m) cordon remains and the row of cottages has been evacuated until the cylinder, which is potentially explosive, can be cooled.
South Elmsall railway station was closed for three hours as a precaution.
The evacuated residents were offered shelter at Minsthorpe High School.
