Parents who park dangerously on the school run in Bradford are being targeted in a joint crackdown by the council and police.
The campaign is being launched at the city's Killinghall Primary School, where one child was recently injured in a parking-related accident.
Despite "Keep Clear" markings outside the school, parents are still dropping children off at the school gates.
If they continue to do this they will face prosecution, police warned.
Road safety officers from the council and staff from the school will be talking to parents outside the building on Thursday.
Banners and signs will be also be displayed in the road, warning parents not to park there.
"We have already had an accident where a pupil was injured and I am genuinely worried about the children's safety"
If parents continue to ignore the warnings, then they will receive a letter from the police, followed by legal action.
The equipment is available to other schools on loan and if the scheme is successful, it will be rolled out to others in the district.
Anne Hawkesworth, the council's executive member for environment and culture, said: "There is a national and local problem of parents selfishly parking close to the school gates in order to drop their kids off to school.
"This behaviour puts everyone else in danger, because it means parents and pupils don't have a clear view of the road and other drivers can't see them crossing."
'Lazy' parents
Head teacher Gill Edge said: "Each day we have over 400 children using our main entrance.
"We are very concerned that all parents act responsibly in the way they walk their children to school or park their cars.
"We have already had an accident where a pupil was injured and I am genuinely worried about the children's safety.
"Parents know the right thing to do but some parents don't think that rules apply to them. I do hope our actions will help them realise everyone has their part to play in keeping children safe."
Pupil Huma Majeed said: "Parents are not doing their part in helping children cross the road. They are making it more dangerous by parking in front of the school gates.
"There is a lot of space a little bit further away from school but they are too lazy to walk to the main entrance."
