Son-in-law remanded over killing
The son-in-law of a 73-year-old Castleford widow has been charged with her murder.
Molly Wright was found with head injuries at her home in Redhill Gardens, Redhill, on 27 September.
Mrs Wright, who ran a shop in Castleford market, died later in Pontefract Royal Infirmary.
Her son-in-law, David Hill, 46, of Lakeside Meadows, Pontefract, was remanded in custody after appearing at Pontefract Magistrates' Court.
He denied the charges against him through his solicitor and is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Friday.
