Memorial honour for Iraq soldier

Sgt Christian Hickey The name of a British soldier killed in Iraq has been added to the war memorial in his home village in a dedication ceremony on Tuesday.

Sgt Christian Hickey, 30, died in a bomb attack in Basra in October.

His parents Patrick and Pauline Hickey joined their son's former colleagues in the Coldstream Guards for the service at East Bierley, near Bradford.

The Mayor of Kirklees and the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire also attended the remembrance service.
