Police probe unexplained deaths

The deaths of two men whose bodies were found in separate incidents in Berkshire are being treated by police as unexplained.

The body of an 83-year-old man was found in the Kennet and Avon Canal near the Lock, Stock and Barrel pub in Newbury on Saturday morning.

Part of Northbrook Street was cordoned-off for about two hours until 0800 GMT.

In a second incident, the body of a 49-year-old man was found in a vehicle at the Madejski Stadium on Friday evening.

Police are appealing for witnesses in both cases.
