Arrest over town graveyard rape

A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a woman in a Berkshire town graveyard late at night.

The 24-year-old victim was attacked in the early hours of Saturday 30 August in the graveyard of St Lawrence's Church, in Friar Street, Reading.

A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police said the incident happened between 0200 BST and 0300 BST.

The 28-year-old man, who was arrested on Friday, has now been released on police bail until 15 October.
