Teenager killed at level-crossing

A teenager has died after being hit by a train as he crossed the tracks at a Berkshire railway station.

It is understood that Kieron Davies had crossed a level-crossing barrier at Wokingham station to catch a train on the opposite side of the tracks.

The 17-year-old from Arborfield was struck on Wednesday by the 2220 GMT train from London Waterloo to Reading and died instantly.

British Transport Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
