Driver dies in two car collision

A man has died in a collision involving two cars on a road in Berkshire.

Police were called to the crash between a blue Volkswagen Passat and a green Citroen Xsara in Beech Hill Road, Spencers Wood, at 1230 BST on Sunday.

The male driver of the Citroen was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger and the other driver were taken to hospital for treatment.

Police closed the road, at the junction with Lambs Lane, for five hours while they examined the scene.

Pc Steve Kelly, of the Three Mile Cross Roads policing department, said he was keen to speak to any witnesses of the crash.
