Security screws for number plates

Tamper-proof security screws have been fitted to the number plates of 124 vehicles at a Hertfordshire Police roadshow.

Officers held the event with the help of the AA in Cheshunt to help tackle vehicle crime.

Sgt Paula Reynolds said: "Tamper-proof security screws fitted to vehicles can significantly reduce the risk of having your number plates stolen."

The safety screws were funded by the safer neighbourhood initiative fund.
