Jobs go as furniture firm shuts

All 60 staff employed at a furniture factory in Bedfordshire have lost their jobs as it has shut down.

Dunstable-based Tag International, previously President Office Furniture, has gone into administration.

The closure has been attributed to a continued loss of work in the furniture and manufacturing sector.

"At its peak the factory employed over 450 - one of the largest employers at Woodside Industrial Estate," Alan Costello, of union GMB, said.

"GMB will do its best to get the needs of the workers addressed."
