Arrest after woman's body found

A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in a house in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.

Thames Valley Police were called to a house in Ramsons Avenue, Conniburrow, early on Sunday.

The house was being examined by forensic officers and a post-mortem examination on the body of the middle-aged woman was due to take place later.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact.

Det Insp Colin Seaton, of Thames Valley Police, said: "A man was arrested on Sunday morning. If you saw or heard any incident or disturbance occurring overnight in Ramsons Avenue, then please contact the police."

Police said the man is in custody at Milton Keynes police station.
