Driver is killed in head-on crash

A man has been killed in a head-on crash in Hertfordshire.

The man was driving a Rover car along Walkern Road in Benington near Stevenage when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra.

A second person was taken to the Lister Hospital with minor injuries. The identity of the man who died, who was in his 30s, has not been released.

Police have made an appeal for any witnesses to the crash to come forward with information.
