Man dies in recovery truck crash

A 52-year-old motorcyclist has died in a collision with an accident recovery truck on a Bedfordshire country road.

The crash happened late on Thursday night on the B655 Hitchin Road near Shillington, and involved a Honda 750cc motorcycle and an Iveco truck.

The rider had been travelling towards Hexton from the direction of Barton and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was unhurt in the crash. An inquiry is under way. No details of the victim were given.
